Pop-up window is not printing automatically
Using WinXP. I'm on a website http://www.mva.maryland.gov/ and tried to renew my car registration. I entered credit card info and then came to the final page where it says 'select the documents you would like to print.' I selected both documents by clicking 'print all documents.' Then a little pop-up window appears but document does not print automatically. Print preview is just a blank page. I turned off 'block pop-ups.' I think I did this already and because documents did not print, transaction didn't go through and my daughter got a ticket for expired tags. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, sites are not always updated in time for new browser releases, and old code makes silly assumptions about new versions. If this is a site you need to use frequently, then you could drop back to 3.6, but otherwise, hopefully the State will get its act together by the next time you need to use it.

First, Ctrl+p should let you print the active window even if there is no menu or toolbar. However, if the preview was blank, that might not really help you much.
Second, if you can demonstrate this to the State (either in person or by recording a screencast; you can use the free Jing software) hopefully they will improve their web site and cut you a break on the ticket.
Thank you, but the previews were blank, and if I reloaded (which I eventually did), I lost the shopping cart contents. I was trying to print with the newest Firefox on my WinXP machine at work. When I tried it on my WinVista laptop using the last version of Firefox before the upgrade, they popped up correctly. I don't know if it's a Firefox upgrade issue. I guess I could try starting Firefox in safe mode without add-ins on my WinXP PC to see if it's one of my add-ins that is causing the problem, unless you have another suggestion. I was able to print a temporary registration though so I found a workaround but if I go back to that website on my work pc I'll have the same problem. (Using IE9 kept saying I was using Google Chrome as the browser and it wouldn't let me proceed, so I turned off all google add-ins and it still didn't work).
