This happens when I start firefox up or open a new tab:

I am for example on a website to begin with, then I click on a link to another page or website. The back button is greyed out, even though I just entered a new page.

The second time I click a link, the back button will start working.

It only happens the first time I click a link on a new tab, but this can get really frustrating!

This was happening on an older version of firefox, so I updated to the latest version, and it still happens.

Gekozen oplossing

This is caused by the McAfee Site Advisor add-on. If you disable or uninstall it the back button should work properly again.

Thank you for the reply. Could you recommend a similiar add on that won't interfere with firefox?

I do not use those type of add-ons so can not recommend any other. I just use the built-in options to block reported web forgeries and reported attack sites.
