I want to use the header line for the tabs bar, or a toolbar, like Chrome does.

I have a very small laptop, it's a Toshiba Portege R705. I like Chrome's setup, where the top line is used for tabs, and then the second line can be a customized toolbar to put whatever I desire. Firefox has 3 lines, and the top one is really not necessary. It's wasted space on my screen. How can I customize Firefox 3.6 so that I have only 2 lines - the tab bar, and a fully-customizeable toolbar on the second line? Or vice versa, I don't care. The tab bar can be the second line.

A feature like that is coming in Firefox 4.

You can use the Autohide extension in full screen mode or in zombie mode with hidden title bar to get more screen estate.
