How do I add Firefox Nightly to favorite on bottom bar in gnome DE Linux?
I'm using Fedora Linux with gnome. I installed Firefox Nightly according to the mozilla wiki which basically says to extract the tar.bz2 in the /home/ folder. When I open firefox from the extracted folder it launches Nightly. In the right click menu on the Nightly icon on the bottom bar there is no "add to favorites". Surely we're not expected to browse to the folder every time we want to launch Nightly. How do I add it to favorites so it stays on the bottom bar?

It's not in my application list. If I try to drag it from the folder it just doesn't work.'
Hi,
I use Ubuntu so this may not work.
Your problem is not specific to Firefox but to all applications that were installed manually.
1. To make Firefox appears in the application list, you can install a GUI app called Alacarte Menu Editor. For further information, read it online.
2. Next to add Firefox to favorite in gnome-shell, refer to this link: https://askubuntu.com/questions/990833/cannot-add-custom-launcher-to-ubuntu-dock-add-to-favorites
3. Firefox icon may appear as duplicate when being launch, follow this link and start from step 4. https://askubuntu.com/questions/975178/duplicate-application-icons-in-ubuntu-dock-upon-launch/975230#975230
