I started with one problem but it has grown to three.

Number one is my subject/name files/folders have become mixed and I would like them to be in alphabetical order.

Number two problem I created a new folder in my Emails and I attempted to delete it but it refused to go.

Number three problem I attempted to contact the forum but it would not accept my password. I asked for another and typed in my Email address and a message came up saying a reply had been sent but it did not arrive.

What folder view are you using? (press F10 if your mail menu bar is not visible. Click on View and then Folder and set it to all)

Have you been using a add-on like manually sort folder to get your "alphabetical list"

Number two problem I created a new folder in my Emails and I attempted to delete it but it refused to go.

Created a new folder where in your emails? what you can do with regards to adding and removing folders is dependent on where you create to folder, and if it is within an imap mail account, what the server allows comes into play.

This forum sends nothing if the address used is not registered as an email address in a support forum profile. given you are signed in now to post in the forum, I must assume you worked it out. Perhaps the email address you requested a new password for was not the one you used when you create your account in the forum.

Right, the alphabetical order of folders is fixed and many thanks.

You asked; Have you been using an add-on like manually sort folder to get your "alphabetical list"? I have no idea what you mean.

Looking at my column of folders I see the first thing in order is under “Get messages” followed by a V then a picture of a folder then my Email address. I clicked on that. I then tried Inbox (2)

When I attempt to delete the folder which appears at the bottom of the column box comes up with the following information. Thunderbird. The current command did not succeed. The mail server for account, My Email address, responded new folder name already exists, 6.

I just tried to input a new folder by clicking onto the picture of my Email address selecting new folder and it appeared at the bottom of my column of folders. I tried to delete it and it went. I then tried to input the same new folder by clicking on “Inbox” and it appeared under “Inbox” but refused to be deleted.
