Make the Findbar global and not tab specific?

more options

Since the infinite wisdom rendered many of my favorite add-ons useless, here's one thing.

At some point on the way the designers saw fit to make the findbar tab specific, when it earlier had been global.

I used Findbar Tweak to make it global again.

Then someone came up with rendering a lot of add-ons useless on Firefox Quantum.

Stupid move, but what can you do?

So how'bout making this feature optional? I really find it a pain in the --- to activate the search bar individually for each tab.

I don't have a solution for you because this is a structural element of the browser, not an issue of a style rule.

I will note that if you want to run a find in a new tab using the last content of the Find bar, you can press F3. It only opens the find bar if the search fails.
