iView video window displays the message: 'The Adobe Flash player plug-in is required to watch video on the iView website.' Everywhere I read warnings not to use Adobe Flash. What is an alternative player (for iMac El Capitan)? Also how come I don't have any problem watching iView on my iPad?

You may have been using an older version.

New Update For Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version: 22.0.0.192 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.626

As I said, I'm using an iMac with El Capitan, not Windows. Also I said there are warnings about Adobe Flash so I want to know if there is another player I can use instead.

Use the links I posted above. They are for all systems. The Windows warnings are only for Windows users.

As to other players, check this link; https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=Flash
