ran sync and passwords reverted to old
Restarted a PC (will call it 2) not used since last year and ran sync to update to settings used on PC 1. Both now have a password for Facebook not used since mid 2015. Suspect this will mean other passwords are outdated. Can I reset in some way?

Ferdie I am a lightweight helper but I'll give it a shot. I often had problems with syncing until I started this MO. I have 1 win 10 and 4 XP's. Yes, I think I run an XP rescue. I still get XP updates. So basically the sync is off on all the XP's. The win10 pc is where I make all my changes. After a few changes I go to each XP and delete all the bookmarks. Turn sync on in each one at a time and let them sync only the new set from the win10 pc. When each is done I turn syncing off. It might not be the last or easiest but it might insure until you find at least having the freshest copy on each device. Let me know ....
You can check in Windows Explorer if there is a previous version of the logins.json and key3.db files available.
