Youtube embeds not working
Up until about five days ago Youtube embeds worked, and then they just stopped working. I can watch videos on Youtube, but not if they're embedded on another website. I've already tried Firefox Safe Mode, updating Realplayer, updating Java, updating flashplayer, and clearing the cache. Embeds work fine in Opera and Google Chrome, just not Firefox. The only thing that shows up is a black box.
I've also tried to downgrade to flashplayer 10.3, but Adobe won't let me. It just says to go get the new version.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Thanks, but none of that helped. I cleared the cache, and tried Safe mode when this started. Reloading the page doesn't do anything either, and I've only got the default theme. And I can't find the cookie button, but I just cleared them manually.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You can also check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
None of that fixed it either.
