In some websites, Firefox downloads "downloads.php" rather than the actual file.
I'm not sure why, but there are many times where i try to download a file from a website, Firefox downloads a file called "downloads.php" instead. Everytime this happens, i have to switch browsers to download the file i want. This doesn't happen in major websites, only on minor websites.
Is there a way i can fix this without having to switch browsers?

What is the file and site? Usually when you get that you need to click "cancel" FF download to get the actual download. The site is using that to protect itself there is nothing FF can do about how sites configure their downloads.

This happens on a lot of sites though, and cancelling the download doesn't work, it gives me downloads.php no matter what.

No.
EDIT: Disabling the FDM extension fixes the problem. Thanks!
