How do you make a powerpoint 2010 (or office 2010) use Firefox as the hyperlink browser. (Firefox is already my default browser under Internet Options)

Ever since loading Office 2010, any hyperlink I insert goes always to IE. I am using Windows XP. I double checked my default browser which is set to Firefox.

go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> General section -> place Checkmark on "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup" -> press Check Now -> click OK

go to Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Programs -> Remove Checkmark from "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" -> click OK

Check and see if its working.

Just checked PowerPoint settings. Start PowerPoint -> go to PowerPoint Options -> Advanced -> scroll down to the bottom and click "Web Options..." button -> Browsers -> There's no option available to select Firefox so can't change it. Request help from Microsoft about this issue.
