Migration
OK I followed all the steps stated to backup my data/profiles but when I installed and updated my new laptop and then did the restore all my data was still gone, and Thunderbird keeps asking to make a new profile. I have lost a LOT of saved emails and am a little upset, what happened any ideas?
Chosen solution
Any reason why you're using the beta version? Probably better to remove the beta, install the release 91, and add your gmail account in a fresh profile. Since the account is IMAP, mail is stored on the server and will download on the first connection.

Open the profile folder from Help/More Troubleshooting, close TB, delete the contents of the folder (not the folder), then copy in the contents of the backup profile folder. Start TB and see if the mail etc. is shown.
OK just did that and then when I open TB it brings me to Setup a new Profile screen again and is asking me to add email account.
Still confused.
When you open Help/More Troubleshooting, about:profiles, how many profiles are shown? If you launch any of the non-default ones, does one of them present your previous data? Did you replace the contents of the profile folder in AppData/Roaming/... not the Update folder in AppData/Local...?
I only see 1 profile I believe

I dont know my son did this setup maybe he did, OK I will remove beta and try regular I will let you know what happens next.
Thanks
OK Just did that re install NON beta and still the same, I copy the contents of my Thunderbird backup folder to the folder that I opened in the file explorer and still ask me to create a profile window popup and no data from my old system, I am at a loss.
Just create a new profile from Help/More Troubleshooting, about:profiles, and add the gmail account. Set the new profile as Default. Afterwards, you can transfer local mail and address books from the old profile to the new one if necessary. Without knowing exactly what you did, it's futile to offer more advice.
