Hi there,

I'm needing to import an mbox file (followed steps to export gmail emails), I've downloaded Thunderbird and installed the add on: 'ImportExportToolsNG' but when I continue to the "import mbox file" option nothing else comes up/happens. I've tried on two different computers, both laptop and iMac (both completely up to date), I've restarted the program, uninstalled/installed a few times but still no other actions are possible, nothing happens when I click "import mbox file" - wondering if there's another way?

Thank you

The normal method is to right-click Local Folders, ImportExportTools NG/Import mbox file. The file should not have a .mbox extension.

The manual method is to copy the mbox file into the Mail/Local Folders location of the profile folder, while TB is closed. To open the profile folder, Help/Troubleshooting, click Open Folder (Windows) or Show in Finder (Mac). When you restart TB, a folder with the same name as the mbox should appear under Local Folders in the Folder Pane.
