I tried to go back to 68.3.0 and it told me my profile has been updated, I would have to create a new profile and lose all my settings to go backward, so I didn't. Deleted the App & reinstalled. Rebooted my Mac. Quit and restarted Thunderbird. Tried "Help: Restart with Add-Ons Disabled..." No difference. Still shows the attached image:

Chosen solution

The problem was some corruption in my profile. Here's what I did:

1. Find my Profile on my Mac

In Finder, from the Go menu, select Go to folder...
    Enter ~/Library/ and click Go

2. Moved my entire profile to a safe place on my computer.

In the Library folder, drag Thunderbird to
somewhere other than the Library folder (e.g. Desktop)

3. Created a new profile

   Start Thunderbird
When prompted to create a account pointing to my email server

4. Find and copy the things I wanted to keep

from my old profile to the new one
Restart Thunderbird after copying each thing
to be sure it is not the cause of the problem
(None of them was the problem)

The things I copied: - Address book = abook.mab - Local Mail folders = Mail: Local Folders: {all of the files and folders} - Message Filters = ImapMail/{my email account}/msgFilterRules.dat

Please venture at least a guess! It has been over 48 hours and Thunderbird is still comatose.
