Now I just have one row of icons most of which are no good for me. On my fire fox page. I had many icons of sites I have visited. Now, is just a single row all the others are gone. Nothing in the row is useful. How do I get back to the old screen. I still have a long list of bookmarks to the left. HELP

Hi oliviag126, did your Firefox perform a "Refresh"? That should move all your Firefox settings and data to your desktop inside a folder named Old Firefox Data. Can you find that?

If you have that folder, there is a way to pull out your old list of pinned Top Sites, but there are many steps involved. Let me point you to another recent thread with the steps: lost all previous saved websites after firefox refresh.

Does that help? Follow-up questions?

Thanks yo so much for the help. I'm 72 and it was all Greek to me. I'll just use the bookmarks list to the left of the screen. It's too bad I just cant place sites on the new screen... Thank you again.

jscher2000. The other day, i clicked the + for a new screen and I can't believe what popped up. Yep, my screen with all of the bookmark icons I had before they disappeared. I don't know how, but I'm glad they returned.

You can set the home page and the new tab page via "Options/Preferences -> Home". The default home page is the Firefox Home page with the tiles.

See these articles about the default Firefox Home page.
