On my existing Mac Mini Computer I have fairly long list of bookmarks accumulated on my Bookmarks Toolbar over several years. I just successfully exported ALL of my bookmarks from my Mac Mini and imported them to my new MacBook Pro. However, the bookmarks tool bar on the laptop did not change. The three bookmarks that came on the bookmarks toolbar the laptop are still there. I want to get the 17 bookmarks from my Mac Mini Computer bookmarks toolbar onto my new MacBook Pro bookmarks toolbar to replace the three that came with the laptop.

Any help appreciated.

Chosen solution

Look for a 2nd Bookmarks Toolbar folder in the "Bookmarks Menu" folder.

When doing an "export" and "import" via bookmarks.HTML format, those Bookmarks Toolbar folders don't get merged; the user need to manually "merge" them or select the 2nd one as the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.

Sorry, I can't tell you how to select the other Bookmarks Toolbar folder as the one that Firefox will use as such; I haven't ever done that myself and I'm not on a Mac, if that would make a difference in the procedure for changing that.

This is an edit to my earlier post: Where the question I asked has Bookmarks Toolbox it should say Bookmarks Toolbar.

The 2nd Bookmarks Toolbar folder was located just before the last item in the list of bookmarks. I deleted the 3 bookmarks in the main bookmarks toolbar. Then I moved the 17 bookmarks I wanted to the main bookmarks toolbar folder and all is well with my computers now.

A big thank you for your help.
