Firefox crashes multiple times per day- near unusable

Firefox crashes multiple times per day- near unusable. Crash report links are below. It says I need to update the driver for my graphics Card ATI Mobility Radeon x600 - Gateway 7510GX. The latest driver I could find was the one installed. Mozilla Troubleshooting page says update it to v.

FIrefox is near unusable. Please help. I already refreshed, uninstalled, deleted all traces of profile, rebooted, reinstalled, checked add-os and disabled one at a time. I can't find the v9 driver anyway.

My old laptop died (GPU died), and a new one is on its way. In the meantime, schoolwork calls- THis is a 10 year old gateway laptop on XP 32-bit SP3.


Any assistance is appreciated!!!

To upgrade your video driver, you need the Catalyst Suite version 10.2 from AMD's website. The Catalyst software is a package that includes multiple drivers for ATI products packed into one easy file to download.

AMD Display Driver

AMD merged with ATI 10 years ago, and the last ATI-branded products were sold about six years ago.

By the way, that error appears to have faulty information. The x600 is a desktop graphics chip.

Thanks for the reply. I wondered myself about the Card. The driver you provided says it is no compatible with my system (despite it seeming like it may make sense from my end as well).. I tried 3 times, It will not install any configuration I use (with/without Catalyst 10.2).

Any other options?
