how to cancel a download
Every time I open FF it tries to download a file I previously downloaded. Even if I do it again, it won't stop it. How do I delete this queued action?
I think I found it - Settings/More tools/Task manager
Nope, that didn't work. I keeps putting it back into the tasks.

You can check the homepage setting in "Settings -> Home".
Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file in the Firefox profile folder that stores session data.
- rename/remove sessionstore.jsonlz4
You may also have to rename the sessionstore-backups folder.
When sessionstore.jsonlz4 is deleted you lose pinned-tabs and open tabs and you will have to recreate them, so if necessary make a note or bookmark them. sessionstore.jsonlz4 is only present in the Firefox profile folder when Firefox is closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
- Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
Take note of what tab is loaded just before the file download starts and try closing it.
Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?
It was in the task manager. There are 2 lines to each one. I first clicked the first line of the entry. That didn't clear it when I clicked the X even thought the entry went away. The entry then came back when I restarted. I then highlighted the 2nd line and clicked the X. It went away. I also found it was on my other computer (synced I guess). I was able to delete it under downloads. Thanks
