researching family history means I want to keep several sites open. I want to to work on one site but keep the other sites open but minimised to the task bar. the firefox icon in the taskbar to show minimised open sites available changing sites would mean selecting a site from the minimised sites on the taskbar clicking on it would maximise new site and minimise the previous one

thank you for your time as Firefox Help had me bewildered

Hello briney,

Would you please do this :

3-bar menu (or Tools) => Options => General

Scroll down to "Tabs" and click :

"Show tab previews in the Windows task bar"

Then, when you click on the Fireox icon on your taskbar, you'll see thumbnails of every tab you have open - all you have to do is click on the one you want to work on. (minimize the one you were working on first)
