In past versions of FireFox there was a File - Open menu. Does this still exist in Firefox 33? I have searched the menus and buttons and have right-clicked in every spot I could think of in the browser.

It is quicker and easier to use a File - Open option compared to the right-click action/"Open with" option on the file in Windows Explorer.

hello k_drive, you can customize the firefox interface and put the open file button into the firefox menu: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars

or you can always open it with the keyboard shortcut ctrl+o....

Thank you very much. I added it to the "three horizontal line icon" menu using the Customize option.

Quite by accident I found out that, if you press the ALT key, the menus appear on the top of the browser window. I only thought of it because I do some coding and really like keyboard shortcuts.
