I know how to open firefox to a blank page - I also know how to open firefox to multiple pages - BUT how can I open firefox to a blank page including a 2nd page of my choosing.

This is for people who perfer not showing their home page on startup - in case you're at work and have someone staring over your shoulder and prefer that the blank page is what comes up in "spot 1" and my preferred page in "spot 2"

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all the help. The space didn't help BUT I noticed that I had settings of: When Firefox starts: Open a blank page

I changed it to: When Firefox starts: Show my home page

Then it worked with the | and no spaces on either side.

Works great now!! Thanks! (keeps the boss from seeing the home page by putting a blank as the 1st screen and my fav as the 2nd!

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I'm sorry - I may not have been clear enough in my earlier post - My question was:

"How to make a blank page AND a 2nd website automatically come up when I start Firefox."

I was looking for instructions.

I reset my Firefox and that didn't do anything but give me a lot of customization work to get things back... and didn't answer the question.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Oh ok, to open multiple pages use a | to separate them.

So to open two pages, use www.google.com | about:blank

This will open google and a blank tab when you open Firefox

Thanks! That's what I thought should work... so just now I entered:

about:newtab|www.google.com

...and it didn't work... only 1 tab came up - "the blank one" - but not the google tab...

Still stumped...
