secondary email addresses
The system continues to tell me that my original email address is the primary address. That address has been hacked and I need to remove it and replace it. I am then told I need to add a secondary address before I can change. I go into the area where this is done and when I press add it says that the new address is already there. How do I get rid of the hacked address and replace it with the new one (which Mozilla does actually recognize!)?

To resolve the issue of changing your primary email address in Mozilla, follow these steps:
1. **Log in to Your Mozilla Account**:
- Go to the Mozilla account management page and log in with your current credentials.
2. **Add a Secondary Email Address**:
- Even if it says the new address is already there, make sure it is listed as a secondary email. - Go to the account settings and add the new email address as a secondary email if it's not already listed. You might need to confirm this email address by clicking a verification link sent to the new email.
3. **Set the New Email as Primary**:
- Once the new email address is verified and listed as a secondary email, go back to the account settings. - Select the new email address and set it as the primary email.
4. **Remove the Hacked Email Address**:
- After setting the new email as the primary, you should be able to remove the hacked email address from your account.
If you encounter any issues during this process, try logging out and back in or clearing your browser cache. For more detailed instructions and troubleshooting, [click here].
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully change your primary email address and remove the hacked one from your Mozilla account.
