Offidocs
Offidocs has hijacked my Firefox browser making it impossible to read PDF files. I never added it and it does not appear in my extensions list. I've marked "always ask" in the preferences for opening PDF files but to no avail. My antivirus and Malware bytes scans are negative. How can I get rid of this?

Most often its on restaurant websites when trying to read the menu. In this case the site is Elevation 89 in Ocala, Florida. I go to the website and download the menu which I can't read because of offidocs' intervention. Everything works fine when using Edge.
Try to rename/remove handlers.json in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
- Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
It works for me. see screenshot Can you post a screenshot of this section in your settings? see screenshot

That did not work for me. I see there are a bunch of .json profiles. Should I remove all of them?
Here's a screenshot. https://www.offidocs.com/public/ is what appears in the address box
What is with all the .json profiles anyway?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?
It does not occur in troubleshoot mode. The only extensions I have are Adblock and the onlline PDF editor. Could it be the PDF editor? If so, why?
OK. Thanks. I got rid of PDF editor online and the problem is solved. That's a bad add on if you're not a "offidocs" user and I really don't get what offidocs is used for anyway. Why does it even exist?
Mark it as resolved so it's off our list of things to do.
