Emails won't download in one of my accounts, others are working fine.

I can access my emails at AOL through a browser but not in Thunderbird. The spiraling activity indicator in the inbox tab has not stopped swirling for 2 days (during the issue) for my default account. Other addresses are receiving emails without issue. If I click out and back in I get a window: 'login failed' ' Login to server to..... failed.' Retry, Enter New Password, Cancel. I've changed my password several times without success but those passwords work on the AOL site. Thanks, Marc

Chosen solution

Had to turn this setting on under security.

Allow apps that use less secure sign in

Some non-AOL apps and devices use less secure sign-in technology, which could leave your account vulnerable. You can turn off access (which we recommend) or choose to use them despite the risks.

What does "turn off access" mean? I do not know how to do this in any case.

Oops. Thought I had some more info. Still cannot receive messages to my email, only. Other accounts are functioning just fine, and my phone receives emails as it should, including in the relevant account.
