After the updating today, Firefox takes 22 seconds to start and 21 seconds to load the new tab. Tried checking Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser and unchecking Use hardware acceleration when available, but it did not help

FIREFOX TO SLOW

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

it took 15 seconds for the small dialog to appear and 15 seconds for the new tab to load. The drivers has been updated before trying safemode.

I do not know if it has anything to do with Windows update. There has been a few updates yesterday. -Windows 10, version 1709. -KB4051963 (OS Build 16299.98) -KB4048955 (OS Build 16299.64) - Security update for Adobe Flash Player: November 14, 2017

The Flash no as that is for Microsoft Browsers only and is weeks late and so should say since no info is here for you about that . Flash Player Version: 27.0.0.187 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Ya ran Microsoft Disk Cleanup tonight and than ran it again to Check System Files and it had dumped 779megs onto me for updates since last ran it. So if do not run it you have mega gigs to be deleted.

A good defrag may help if your not running that or have it scheduled to run.

Ok, so do it the brutal way : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings TEST IT.........

If still issues, Video Drivers , or Profile, so make a new Profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles TEST IT

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

All has been done, but nothing has worked, feels slower when loading webpages. So I can only assume that it must have something to do with the Windows updates, since it worked before the Windows Update.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Hello again, I reset/reinstalled Windows 10 and installed Firefox and it works again, so maybe it was Avast.

Thank you for trying to help me with my problem :)
