My only internet access is through a work PC. The default browser is Internet Explorer but this is locked down and will only access via a proxy. (I can't change the settings as I'm not an admin). Flash player works for Internet Explorer but Firefox doesn't see it as it's not installed on my laptop (I assume it's on a shared network drive which I can only access via VPN). I can get download the Flashplayer .exe file from Adobe, but I can't install it because I'm not an admin. Is there any way round this issue?

Hi

I think this is something that we will not be able to help with as you will need the admin user rights to install the software. You work IT support team may be able to help with this.

Worth noting that whilst it is unfortunately needed for some web sites, increasingly many sites do not require Flash to play various media content.

Thanks Seburo - I was wondering if there was anyway that Firefox could come with the flash plug in already installed. No worries.
