I am trying to figure out how to increase my inbox capacity. The indicator on the bottom right of the inbox that states your capacity when it is close to full always seems to be getting full. I only send and receive about 20 emails per day. I would like to configure my inbox somewhat like GMail has so you can keep messages forever and rarely have to delete them. Having to look back at my archive folder is slow and tedious and I would like to just search in my normal inbox search to be able to reference older email. Thank you for any and all help.

Accumulating messages in Inbox is a bad idea. Inbox is most susceptible for corruption, so this would greatly increase the risk of loosing messages if something bad happens.

Thunderbird has no concept of Inbox capacity, so what you see is probably caused by an add-on.
