Firefox may not actually be crashing.

If firefox is hanging check for and kill any running firefox.exe &/or plugincontainer.exe process.

What security software is in use. Possibly security software is interfering with firefox use. Have you managed to use firefox since it was updated to Firefox 11.

If Firefox is crashing at startup.

  1. Try a clean profile
  2. Try starting in Windows own safe mode, usually accessible by using keyboard F8 at startup
  3. Try disabling security software. If necessary temporarily uninstall security software. (Remember to re-enable re-install, consider working physically offline for safety if testing without security software )
