how do you backup bookmarks on fox
need to shut down and redue my computer, how do i save bookmarks?

You should take a look at the article Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. This will show you how to backup all of your information, not just your bookmarks. If you only want to keep the bookmarks, there is a section in there that describes that as well.
