Yahoo continues to pop up when using Firefox. First, I suddenly had a Yahoo tool bar. After closing that add-on, I now get Yahoo's search engine popping up whenever I type in a new URL. How can I get Yahoo to quit?

Yahoo continues to pop up when using Firefox. First, I suddenly had a Yahoo tool bar. After closing that add-on, I now get Yahoo's search engine popping up whenever I type in a new URL. How can I get Yahoo to quit?

To change it back to normal:

  1. 1 Type in about:config in firefox, press enter
  2. 2 search for keyword.URL on the search bar.
  3. 3 it will come up with something with yahoo in the string. Right click and select Modify or Double Click on it.
  4. 4 Type or paste in this http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&q=

Also, a great addon that can fix this problem (possibly perminant fix?) can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/luckybar/ It basically overrides your url bar so that it -always- uses "feeling lucky".
