In checking my password during account setup, I get an error message even though my username and pw are correct and my config was found in the ISP database.
Comcast has changed it's name to Xfinity, but I cant get Thunderbird to let me set up my account under the Xfinity name. Can someone hwlp?

Have you considered just changing the settings in your existing account?
What is the information you have that is prompting you to try and change anything?
The ISP database has a few possibilities for Comcast:
imap.comcast.net on 993, SSL/TLS, or 143, STARTTLS, or mail.comcast.net on 993, SSL/TLS, or 110, STARTTLS; smtp.comcast.net on 465, SSL/TLS, or 587, STARTTLS.
The IMAP and SMTP settings recommended by Xfinity are here.
For IMAP on TB, they suggest imap.comcast.net on 993 and smtp.comcast.net on 465; SSL/TLS, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.
Which settings were offered by the TB database, and what do you want, IMAP or POP?
