All messages in my Thunderbird Inbox since 03/26, including several that appeared this morning, 03/30, have disappeared! Since message retrieval deletes messages from the pop.verizon.net server, I’m not going to click “Get Messages” any more until you either advise me that the problem has been corrected or tell me how to fix things. New messages (e.g. from Mozilla Support) should be available on AOL, so I can look at them there.

Somebody please help!!

Hi,

I am seeing something similar. I have TB setup to check 4 emails, all via POP. One inbox keeps erratically purging all old emails. Everything seems fine for a bit (a day or two) - checking, sending, etc. and then apparently at random the emails disappear. Sometimes using the "Repair Folder" retrieves them, but three times so far it doesn't - the problem is not in the msf index file, but the actual message file. I was able to restore from backup and then I simply exported the key emails (just 10 of them, fortunately) and can now import them whenever it happens so no critical losss, but annoying. My impression is the problems seem to arise when clicking on that account's inbox and then clicking on the Unified Folders Inbox (or vice versa).
