Every time I closeout my Android phone in other words when I put it to sleep but not off the problem is when I open it up again to use it Firefox is running and therefore has used some of my battery power. I don't leave Firefox running when I put the phone to sleep. how do I stop this from happening?

I don't want to quite firefox on my android - I just want to stop it from always being open. Every time I pick up my phone to use it Firefox is open and I have to close it before I can use my phone. Meanwhile, it is using my battery power too fast.
