When I visit the linked website, I get a warning that the security certificate associated with the website has expired.

If you are sure that you trust the source, you should be able to click the Advanced button and then select Add Exception... to gain access to the site.

However, do so at your own risk. Personally, I don't trust websites with security certificate issues, especially login pages. You should contact the website owner to get them to fix the issue.

Do you use a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?

If you use a bookmark then navigate to the web page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.

You can try to rename the cert9.db (cert9.db.old) file and remove the cert8.db file used previously in the Firefox profile folder to remove intermediate certificates and exceptions that Firefox has stored.

If that has helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert9.db.old file.

Firefox will store intermediate certificates that a server sends in the Certificate Manager for future use. Otherwise you can undo the rename.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
