If I type in to search in the firefox bar I get redirected to a site with a.akamaihd.net and I have followed instructions to get rid of the file and cleaned out all cache and run malwarebytes and 2 others and restarted and I still get the a.akamaihd.net so how do I get rid of this virus with firefox

Did you look at the Addon to see if it didn't put something there and also did you check your Addon/Remove to see if there was something? You have to look at those places as if it returns means something was installed. It doesn't come back without something anchored.

Thank you I have disabled all add-ons and it went away and now starting each one up to see which was the culprit. Have an amazing day.
