Ever since updating to Firefox 54.0 I have not been about to keep my print settings saved. Every time I try to print I change the settings to what I need, but when I check in PDF preview the settings have reverted back to a default. I tried printing with out looking in Preview, and I get the same outcome. Tried numerous troubleshooting steps from the help section and web.

Hi, don't know what you've tried, so please see if anything here helps -

If none of the above helps, it's possible that a setting in any security software you may have is causing this. Also be suspicious of any security type add-ons you may have. You can temporarily disable them to test in Safe Mode: Hold down Shift when you start Firefox to start in Safe Mode. More - Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

Also see How to fix preferences that won't save. Note: before you try Refresh as mentioned in the article; since it can very occasionally cause issues of its own, and to be on the safe side, I would backup your bookmarks: Open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Backup. Or, Export Bookmarks to HTML, and save them to somewhere convenient on your computer. Note that Backup will overwrite any existing bookmarks when you restore them. For extra safety, I'd suggest making both a Backup - which creates a JSON file, and an HTML file. You can instead backup all your data by copying your Profile, but this requires some technical expertise - Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. You might also want to make a note of any add-ons you have since they will be removed.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

I have tried all of these fixes, but did not help. It is simply not keeping my settings Every time I try to null all settings in the header or reduce scale and select print, the image is not what scaled for and the header is all info.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
