Why do I receive a pop-up restriction for a website that I have given permission to in firefox security.
I attempted to print out a form in a medical website, and received a pop-up restriction message stating the site did not have permission.
I had the site listed in the security section of Firefox for permission, but it still would not allow me to print the form. I used the Firefox help to find a solution, and the listed solution was the same procedure I used to allow the site permission in Firefox security.
Need your help as I have an immediate need to print this special form.
Thanks,
Bill

Hi BillHenryJr, which permission did the panel refer to?
The Exceptions list for "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons" is usually not needed for printing a form.
If the site is requiring you to install an add-on but the add-on hasn't been updated in the past couple of years, it might not be compatible with Firefox any more. Add-ons need to be electronically signed by Mozilla starting in Firefox 43: Add-on signing in Firefox.
Can you provide a link to the page where you are getting the message? (If an account is needed to access it, then it won't be possible for volunteers to verify what the site wants to do.)
Hi Bill, most PDF viewers do allow you to download the PDF and view it offline in Adobe Reader, so that might be the best immediate workaround.
If you are viewing the PDF in Firefox's built-in PDF viewer, look for a download arrow along the top bar of the viewer (below the toolbar area).
If you are using Adobe's plugin to view the PDF, if a toolbar is not visible, you can move your mouse around to try to trigger the floating toolbar with the save (disk) icon, or try pressing the Esc key (not sure that works in the newest versions).
If you can't even view the PDF in a tab, can you right-click the link to the form and use Save Link As?
