Cookies exceptions does not work for intranet sites

more options

Running firefox 45 on Win7

I have always set Firefox to block all cookies and then use the exception list to allow essential session cookies. To date I have only had to register the domain ( no reference to http or https).

With Firefox Release 45 this method does not work for intranet sites (by that I mean private sites available only on our network and not accessible via the internet) Having read the bugs raised, one suggested workaround was to register both http and https versions of sites. This may work for intranet sites, but evidence is for intranet sites it does not work at all.

It would appear the only way as of Release 45 is to allow all session cookies. This is really annoying as there should be no need to allow cookies to be set unless there is a need to actually log in.

Evidence this is a bug. The application does respond correctly to the configuration options set. I would appreciate some feedback, confirming this is actually a bug, and advise on when it is liable to be resolved.

Further investigations indicate the settings of cookie exceptions does work on intranet sets. It requires the port number to be specified in the exception.
