I have been having trouble with PayPal transactions made though various websites for some time. The only site I could make payments from, until today, was eBay. I tried making that payment four times, cleared my browser cache, restarted Firefox, restarted the computer -> nothing. For other sites, I have been having to request people's emails and then using that to send them money directly instead of through the sites. I just used Microsoft's new browser for Windows 10, Microsoft Edge, and, surprise - the payment went right through instead of hanging up and timing out. I'd prefer to use Firefox, but this has been a real problem for the last month, and the problem went away with Microsoft Edge. Any ideas?

Use this link to check that your plugins are up-to-date. If any are listed as unknown or research, do not worry about them.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
