There is no such thing as a Thunderbird email account. Thunderbird is email client software that runs on your computer. Email providers issue email accounts. Do you still have the computer that you had Thunderbird on before? If so install Thunderbird and see if it finds your old profile. Check with your provider and see if they still have any of your messages.

I have thunderbird installed in my computer, which is the same MAC desktop. How do I search for that profile. Really appreciate your assistance.

Go to the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Info. There is a button to show profile location. If the old profile existed Thunderbird should have found it with the new install. Looking at the new profile will give you an idea of what to search for in case the old one still exists.

Do you know if you used IMAP or POP for the old account? If IMAP then the messages would have been stored on the providers server and not locally on your computer.

I used IMAP.

When I go into troubleshooting info. I see no button for show profile location.

If you used IMAP then the only thing ever on your computer were the headers. The email remained on the server. That is how IMAP works. If you never moved them to Local Folders on your computer or backed them up them your only hope is that the provider can get you copies.

As for the button, I have attached an image of where it is on my Windows based system. It may be different for a MAC.
