For the MAC version of Firefox 4.0.1, where is the specific location (path) on the computer where the bookmarks file is stored? What will be the name of the bookmarks file? I intend to put the bookmarks file on my iDisk (mobileme) so that my wife and I can have the same bookmarks and I sync will keep them synched.

They are stored in a file called places.sqlite inside the profile folder. That file also stores browsing history. For the location of the profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

An alternative method to keep the bookmarks synched is to use Firefox Sync which is built into Firefox 4. For details on Firefox Sync see http://support.mozilla.com/kb/what-firefox-sync?

Thanks TonyE! I took your suggestion and my wife and I are now synched using Firefox Sync which is a more elegant solution than using mobileme.
