block auto refresh = true bypassed/ignored by some websites, i.e. FOXBusiness.com
A website I read news on a regular basis, FOXBusiness.com, auto refreshes which is super annoying when you read even worse if you write a comment.
The recommended setting accessibility.blockautorefresh true accessibility.blockautorefresh true
Have no effect on this particular website and it continues to do its auto refresh. I contacted their so-called "support" but never received a reply.
Anyone know how to prevent this "do not auto refresh" setting being bypassed by a website thus continuing to do periodical auto refresh?

That ancient setting was meant to help prevent assistive technologies like screen readers from losing their place. It is useless as a security feature because it only addresses a limited number of scenarios. Also, setting it to true prevents normal redirects in various scenarios causing irritating blank pages to appear randomly. I suggest setting it back to its default value of false. (I don't know who recommended you use it, but they might not fully understand how it works, or should I say, doesn't work.)
Regarding losing form data on websites, you could consider an add-on that saves data as you type. These are the ones I know have been around for years, but there might be others:
