Hi Everybody,

I'm having a strange result with the signature placed on my outgoing eMails.

The signature text, ( Account Settings ) uses the HTML option and is straightforward: ==========
Regards,
Paul

But the result somehow attaches a couple of unwanted characters before adding the actual signature text: --

==

Regards, Paul

Thunderbird is adding a couple of characters at the very top of the signature, "--" Where can I find and eliminate these characters

Many Thanks, Paul

I have this problem, too, however I can't find mail.identity.default.suppress_signature_separator. On my version of Thunderbird (102.6.1) there is no "general" in the Tools menu.

Sorry. It's tools>settings>general

Bingo! Thanks, david. That was driving me crazy.
