Will Firefox ESR (LTS) have DNS over HTTPS (DoH) enabled in the near future?
I work for a MSP. One of our clients uses a customized version of Firefox ESR for one of their applications. We do not want to have DoH enabled as it will bypass filtering policies put in place by the client. Are there any plans to for Mozilla to roll this feature out to LTS versions of Firefox? What is the timeline for deploying this feature to LTS?

Hi Colton, the latest post about the roll-out is the following:

That doesn't have any mention of the ESR/ LTS release. Is there anything specifically referencing the ESR version of Firefox?
If ESR doesn't automatically follow the planned behavior for "Enterprise" configurations, then you'll need to separately research how to trigger that treatment.
By the way, separate and apart from possible future default settings, they probably want to do that now if they are concerned about users enabling DNS over HTTPS on the Options/Preference page.
Note that there is a DNS over HTTPS policy available (Compatibility: Firefox 63, Firefox ESR 68).
