Silence push notifications when tab is muted
My use case is simple: I'm about to enter a meeting where I'll be sharing my screen, and I want to silence my Whatsapp's tab. I right click, select Mute, but web notifications are still shown. In order to disable, them I have to switch to the tab, click on the icon, and manually removing the push permission. And then do it again to enable it.
I think it's reasonable to assume that when I'm muting a tab, I don't want any disturbance from that tab. Is this possible? Is there a config I can change to disable it too?
Thanks! Jose

Thanks, but I don't want to permanently disable notifications, I just want notification from that specific tab that I muted to stop popping up. I suppose there is currently no link between the Mute tab feature and the Push notifications feature.
Why not while in your meeting just disable the Extension from the add-ons page and re-enable it after.
No there is no happy medium to Push, is turn off or turn on.
I've marked @FredMcD reply as a solution, but it's not very good, I don't want to enter to advanced settings every time I want to mute notifications, specially when there is a Mute option for a tab already.
His solution is to set dom.webnotifications.enabled to false in the about:config settings page.

It's not an extension, it's just a tab opened with Whatsapp. I could close the tab altogether, but it's a Pinned tab, and since I already have a Mute Tab option, I think is reasonable to assume that web notification popups should also be disabled while muted.
Are you using "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions" to toggle the notification permission ?
Firefox would normally show a notch on the Control Center 'i' icon to indicate that some permissions have been modified and shows a checkbox that allows to revert the permission. So you would only have to go to Page Info to re-enable the permission.
