Hi,

There are certain times when something about Firefox causes high resolution images to spin and spin and never load. If a website has three versions of an image, the two smaller sizes load just fine, but the high resolution just spins and ultimately does not show the picture. I have tried closing all browser windows, and that doesn't fix the problem. Shift_Reload also does not fix the problem. The only thing that seems to fix the problem is to reboot my computer. This seems to happen more and more and happens when I have had the computer up for a while and have been using Firefox extensively. I would LOVE to know how to remedy this situation without rebooting my computer every time. Thanks.

Update your Video Card Drivers : Very Important.

Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.

Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Note Hardware Acceleration is for your Video Card, monitor for tearing and other issues and if need be turn that only back on.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried everything mentioned in this reply, and the situation just happened again to me just now. So....no, this did not fix my problem.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
