I am using a lenovo laptop and browsing with firefox. When I scroll through webpages sometimes i get a constant beeping noise. It is very prevalent on websites that load more content based on how far you scroll down, however if I scroll up for a bit the beeps starts again. The beep is constant and occurs until i stop scrolling. I tried scrolling on the same webpages in chrome and the beeping never happens. I tried scrolling through firefox in safemode and the beeping still occurs. Also, the beeping occurs sometimes when I am at the bottom of a webpage and try to scroll down further even though there is nothing further to scroll down to. I am scrolling using two fingers on the touchpad.

I have tried using process manager to isolate where the noise is coming from, but apparently the beep is not a .wav or .mp3 file so no path is displayed when the beep occurs.

I do have to say that this only started after the recent windows 10 update that came out, creators update or something like that.

Anyone have a clue what could be causing this? Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

" I tried scrolling through firefox in safemode and the beeping still occurs. "

So yes, it still persists in safe mode.

Go to your Control Panel and check your "Accessibility Options". You may have turned on the "Toggle Keys" by accident. Or some other option that makes a sound Alternatively please google the issue using make model of you Lenovo Latop As it seems to be a consistent theme of that Issue. Also please check their support page for that Issue.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I've seen that result in google and "toggle keys" was not turned on. It does not seem to be too common an issue as I have googled it quite a bit to no avail.

I have asked the question on the lenovo support forum as well so maybe someone there can help.

Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
