can't copy and paste from windows to firefox(have mac computer)

I have a mac computer with parallels software so as to use windows. When I highlight a sentence in windows I copy it but when I switch to firefox to paste it in a desired location, the paste button doesn't work.

I have a Mac OS X. I bought software for the Mac.(parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac) so that I could use Windows on my Mac. I have Firefox browser. I can not copy anything from Windows and Paste it in Firefox. But I can copy and paste as long as I am not in Windows.

So with Windows running on a Mac, the clipboard does not work? The reason I asked about Windows Firefox is that you could not expect something copied from Windows to work in Mac Firefox.
