Since the last update I can no longer send emails to my contacts as the email addresses do not come up when i start typing in contact names

Have you tried Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search
I can replicate the issue because my add-ons are causing the issue, but while in Safe Mode the suggestions work. see screenshot
