Thuderbird has just begun to crash when I switch to Unified inbox view. The windows goes black and white and freezes for about 2 minutes. Then I get a message about an unresponsive script (chrome://messenger/content/folderPane.js:628).

This only happens if I select the unified view, otherwise it is responsive as ever.

I have been getting this message when permanently deleting a large number of emails without sending them to trash. Notice it mentions "folderPane.js" so I figure it relates to the the "view". I went into View->Layout and unchecked "Message Pane" which displays a preview of the current message.

The problem instantly went away - hundreds of eMails deleted immediatly with no delay at all.

Don't know why this worked. I speculate that it has something to do with the eMail content invoking a Chrome browser feature to display something when it is deleted. But I don't know.
